Scuffy the Tugboat | Little Golden Book

Set sail with a childhood favorite in Scuffy the Tugboat, a classic Little Golden Book about a small toy boat with big ambitions. Its journey combines the excitement of exploring a wider world with the reassuring discovery that home has a special place in every adventure.

A little tugboat with big dreams

Scuffy believes he is meant for more than sailing in a bathtub. Once he ventures into a brook, the water carries him onward into a much larger world. What begins as an exciting journey becomes an adventure that helps him appreciate the safety and companionship he left behind.

The story offers families a natural way to talk about curiosity, growing independence, and the difference between wanting an adventure and being ready for one. Follow Scuffy's travels together and invite your little reader to imagine how the world looks from a tiny tugboat's point of view.

A nostalgic storytime voyage

For parents and grandparents who remember Scuffy from their own childhoods, sharing this book brings a familiar character into a new generation's reading routine. Enjoy it in a favorite chair, add it to a boat-loving child's bookshelf, or give it with a personal note about the stories that shaped your childhood. Its balance of adventure and comfort makes it a lovely choice for shared reading.
